Girls of Grace
Yesterday I had the opportunity to take 9 awesome girls to the Girls of Grace Conference. It was amazing watching them sing and jump up and down, and scream and clap. They appeared to be just like all the other girls.
Only it was different for them. When they left they didn't go out to eat. Or go to the mall. Or even go home and hang out or call their friends.
They went back to prison. Although they live in a Half Way House it is still the world of incarceration.
Because of the generosity of White's Chapel Methodist Church for one day these girls got the opportunity to be a part of an awesome worship experience.
The girls were Blessed. I watched them as they listened and sang. During some of the songs a couple of the girls cried. They listened intently while the speakers talked about topics like gossip,God's grace, trusting and believing in God. Before the day was over they had the oppotunity to ask Jesus to be their Savior.
And they were challenged to be a Girl of Grace.
